The Upcoming 'Sun Tax' in Australia: What You Need to Know

Australia, known for its abundant sunshine, has seen a boom in rooftop solar installations as homeowners and businesses alike embrace renewable energy. Many have benefited from lower electricity bills and feed-in tariffs...

Smart wants to acknowledge those businesses and services shutting down under stricter government measures. We are going to miss you over the coming months, especially our baristas!

The solar industry continues to charge on, as energy providers have been considered an important business at this time. Smart will continue the installation and maintenance of our fleet and provide support to our customers.

To ensure the ongoing safety of our team and customers, we are:

  • Screening all workers before entering a site, includes travel and exposure questionnaires.

  • Isolating solar installation works from business operations.

  • Enhancing digital communication platforms to install teams and customers i.e. Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Zoom and email.

  • Promoting the use of gloves where appropriate.

Caution and prevention are key, but above all compassion and hard work will help pull our country through this.

As an economy, we must keep moving and spending, even from afar. As a company, we must continue to create and monitor the energy systems that will help keep Australian businesses switched on.
