Queensland Report Urges Solar for Government Buildings, TAFEs etc.

An important report out of Queensland is urging a widespread implementation of solar across a range of government assets.  Though there's some opposition, it looks like this will gain momentum.  A great sign and just more evidence of the commercial viability of solar.  Excerpt here:

Solar panels will be installed in Queensland Government buildings including TAFE colleges, schools, hospitals and public houses, to help drive Queensland's renewable energy from seven per cent today to 50 per cent by 2030, a far-reaching strategic report into Queensland's renewable energy says.

The Queensland Opposition warns the renewable energy push could cost taxpayers between $50 million and up to $900 million in green energy subsidies which may or may not lead to lower electricity prices, but the direction was largely welcomed by The Greens.
